Masses at Newman
Monday - Saturday 12:10pm
Saturday 5pm
Sundays 7:30am, 9:30am, 11:30am, 5pm & 10pm
Sacrament of Reconciliation
Saturdays at 3:30pm and by appointment
Eucharistic Adoration
First Saturdays from after 12:10 mass to 4:30pm with benediction.
Student Dinners
Every Sunday during the school year at 6pm (after the 5 pm Mass) all students are welcome to eat a home cooked dinner in the upstairs dining hall here at Newman. (Interested in helping cook? Let us know!)
Seekers
Seekers is the Newman Bible Study and Fellowship group that meets every Tuesday during the school year from 7:30 pm to 9 pm.
Rosary Group
Newman Rosary Group meets every Wednesday during the school year in the Newman gallery from 8 pm to 9 pm.
Chun Jin Ahm Bible Study and Fellowship
Growing Out of the lay Korean Catholic movement, our CJA group has grown into a great fellowship of students! Gathering each Friday evening during the school year at 6:30pm for fellowship, bible study, prayer and song!
Community of Sant' Egidio This Catholic "Church public lay association" is a worldwide, ecumenical community, which has prayer on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm at Newman. Our local group also visits elderly at a nursing home, works on ending the death penalty, and holds a monthly faith sharing and dinner.
Loaves and Fishes Volunteer Group
On the first Sat of each month, we help our fellow parishioners in hosting and providing a home cooked meal for the area homeless at Newman.
Nonviolent Peacemaking Group In the way of Jesus’ nonviolent love of friends and enemies, we offer prayer experiences, educational events, campaign opportunities, and networking with similar groups in order to cultivate the virtues and practices of nonviolent peacemaking. We gather on the 1st and 3rd Mondays at 7pm at Newman
Yaggies (Grad & Post Doc Students and Young Adults) Group
Wherever you are in your graduate studies or as a young professional, you are probably looking for connections and friends who share your values. By gathering every Thursday at 7:30pm here at Newman and by having fun events in the Bay Area, we try to build up the kingdom of God through fellowship.
Taize Prayer at Newman
Every second Friday of the month, (and weekly during Lent) Newman students and parishioners gather for song, silence and scripture in the style of the ecumenical Taize monastic community. No experience is necessary, all are welcome!
Newman LGBT Student Group
Students who are interested in LGBT issues come together every Thursday at 7:15pm to discuss their faith in safe and affirming conversation.
